Availablecommunity node on npm, verification by n8n in progress · version 0.1.1 · MIT license
What is the Techmap n8n Node?
The Techmap community node brings job postings from 185 sources in 250 countries and territories into n8n workflows. Search jobs with filters, build RSS feed URLs and start workflows whenever new matching postings appear - for job alerts, lead lists, job board backfill or labour market dashboards.
The package n8n-nodes-techmap is open source (MIT), has no runtime dependencies and is published to npm with a provenance statement from GitHub Actions. It also works as a tool for n8n's AI Agent.
Features
| Name | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
Job > Search | Action | Search postings by country, title, city, occupation, workplace, date and additional filters (company, contract type, duplicates, salary, industry, language, skills, state, work type). One n8n item per posting. |
Job > Get RSS Feed URL | Action | Build an RSS feed URL for a search, e.g. for job board software. Makes no API request. |
On new jobs | Trigger | Polls the Jobs API and starts the workflow for postings that were not seen before. |
Techmap Tool | AI Agent tool | Use the Techmap node as a tool of n8n's AI Agent so that an LLM can search jobs on its own. |
Set it up in 4 steps
- Install the community node: In n8n, open Settings > Community Nodes > Install and enter n8n-nodes-techmap (self-hosted n8n).
n8n-nodes-techmap - Create the credential: Add a Techmap API credential with your RapidAPI key. The credential test makes one count request and returns no postings.
- Add a node: Add the Techmap node (Search jobs, Get RSS feed URL) or the Techmap Trigger (On new jobs) and set your filters.
- Schedule sensibly: Each poll or search page uses quota - with the free plan, poll once a day or every few hours.
Every returned posting counts towards your monthly quota; RSS URLs and the credential test use none. The free plan of the Techmap Jobs API includes 1,000 job postings per month; paid plans cost $1 per 1,000 job postings.
Use cases
- Job alerts: post new remote jobs for a role to Slack, Teams or e-mail
- Lead generation: add companies hiring for a technology to your CRM

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I install the Techmap node in n8n?

Which data does a posting contain?
Title, company, location, workplace type, contract and work type, posting date, URL of the original ad and the description, plus the full schema.org JobPosting record if Simplify is off.
