For job boards: backfill local and blue-collar jobs
Regional and blue-collar job boards get the most from employment office data: thousands of local employers per city, many jobs in trades, logistics, care and hospitality, and few duplicates with tech-heavy sources. Combine the national portal of your country with ATS career pages for larger employers.
EURES republishes vacancies of national services, so expect overlap between EURES and portals such as France Travail or the Bundesagentur für Arbeit. Techmap marks likely duplicates so you can import each job once.
For market and sales intelligence: signals from the local economy
Employment office data shows hiring in the Mittelstand, in crafts and in the public sector - segments that are invisible in LinkedIn or ATS data. It is used for labour shortage analysis by occupation and region, for site selection and for lead lists of growing small businesses.
- Active employers (112.7K in August 2026) are a proxy for the number of hiring businesses per region.
- Public-sector portals (USAJOBS, NHS Jobs, Gov.uk) show government and health service demand.
- Agency share and repeat postings indicate hard-to-fill occupations.
For HR teams and ATS buyers
If you hire locally, check that your applicant tracking system can publish to the employment office of your country - for many SMEs it is the most important free channel. The ATS career pages hub shows which ATS are common in each country.
